My new dermatologist

After suffering through acne for long, torturous months (since bar review) and trying over-the-counter meds after my old derma’s prescription only seemed to make my skin worse, I finally decided to visit a new dermatologist that I’d been hearing so much about.

I wanted only the best, and I didn’t care how much it cost. To suddenly suffer neverending breakouts out of nowhere during bar review was okay, I figured the stress was a major factor and I was really more concerned with passing the bar. But my skin still wasn’t getting any better and nowhere near close to what it used to be like.

So I finally decided to hie off to Dr. Aivee Aguilar-Teo’s new clinic at the Fort, near my office.

Can I just say, if her waiting room is any indication, I’m going to have the most fabulous skin under her care. Seriously.

THIS is part of her waiting area.

And THIS is her consultation room.

Talk about luxe.

Now don’t ask me how much I spent, suffice it to say that I spent way more than what I spent with my old dermatologist, like doubly, triply more. Not to say that she’s super expensive, I actually think her rates are reasonable considering how accomplished she is.

BUT the true test is how my skin fares. I’ve tried EVERYTHING. EVERYTHING I tell you and I have not skimped on spending on the products (Shiseido, Shu Uemura, Mario Badescu, you  name it, I probably have their entire lines).

We’ll see if my new doctor is worth the money I just spent today.

But I have a good feeling about this :)

    • It’s only been two weeks but so far, so good :) I have my next appointment tomorrow! I’ll probably update after I’ve been using her meds for a month, that should give me a good idea of how effective they really are.

Is she really good? How much is their facial?

    • Yes! I love her! Facials depend eh, from P1500 to P3500 (with diamond peel) from what I recall. Try calling to find out!
